SQ Employee News: August 2022

We are so thankful to our employees that work hard every day for our company.  Our Faces of SQ will share pictures of teams around our footprint each month.

Junior is a 14-year-old mutt. He is the sweetest dog who spends all of his time begging for rubs and food in that order. He would lie outside in the sun all day if you would let him.

Bruce (Yes, he’s named after the Hulk) is a 5-year-old Chiweenie. His mission every day is to pester Junior every minute he’s awake. When he’s not pestering Junior, you will find him in bed underneath the covers, sleeping away the day.

This is Walter (black and white), he is the dad, sitting with his boy Oliver.

Oliver was born blind, and I was not going to be able to take care of him. He needed to be bottle-fed several times a day, and it was hard to navigate. I had taken him to the nursing home where I used to work, and the residents loved him, fed him, and wanted to keep him; they even offered to build him a pen to keep him there as the resident goat.

With months of work and vet visits, Oliver began to get his sight back; he is probably about 80 percent. He still gets around pretty well. I did have a sanctuary that I was going to send him to, but the residents at the nursing home would not have it. So, I had no choice but to keep him. He does great now and is such a sweet boy. We love him and all his other goat friends and family very much (we are currently at 28 total goats) with all their different personalities.
