September is Suicide Prevention Month

At Stratosphere Quality, we want to take a moment to recognize the importance of mental health and express our deepest condolences to anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide. We understand that grief, mental health struggles, and emotional pain can be difficult to navigate alone.

At Stratosphere Quality, we are committed to supporting our employees and their families. We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources available through our confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP provides access to licensed counselors who are here to listen and support you—completely free of charge.

Employee Spotlight:

This month, we’re excited to introduce Pa Vue, a dedicated, responsive, and collaborative team player who has been with us since 2019. Let’s take a moment to learn more about Pa and her journey with Stratosphere Quality.

Pa Vue is 24 years old, married, and a proud mother to her 7-month-old daughter. Outside of work, she treasures her time off by unwinding and connecting with family. She prides herself on being a diligent and proactive team member, always willing to collaborate and contribute to a positive work environment.

When it comes to the type of work environment she enjoys, Pa thrives in fast-paced, well-organized settings where expectations are clear, and tasks are well-defined. She aims to foster this type of atmosphere with her teams, as it allows everyone to meet challenging deadlines while staying on track and performing their best.

Before joining SQ, Pa worked at a Thai restaurant, where she was responsible for managing work schedules, handling payments, preparing food ingredients, and waiting tables. This experience helped her develop strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills that have benefited her role at SQ.

Her journey at SQ began in 2019, thanks to her sister, Sara, who encouraged her to apply after going through the hiring process herself. What keeps Pa motivated to continue growing within the company is the supportive culture. She appreciates how SQ values employee opinions, open communication with leadership, and the extensive training and development opportunities available. She especially highlights how trainers are always willing to go the extra mile to provide guidance, even flying out for in-person support.

Pa advises new employees joining SQ not to hesitate to ask questions. The more information and understanding they have, the better prepared they will be for success in their roles.

On a larger scale, if she had a magic wand, Pa would address global hunger. She recognizes the devastating impact hunger has on communities worldwide, especially in the development of children, and would work to ensure that food supplies are accessible and distributed equitably.

Pa has been a valuable part of the Stratosphere Quality team, and we are incredibly proud of her journey with us. We look forward to seeing her continue to grow and make a difference within the company. Please join us in congratulating Pa Vue for her hard work and dedication!

Dr. Loomis

Introducing Dr. Loomis (affectionately Loomi), the 3-year-old Russian Tortoise with a love for lettuce. Dr. Loomis loves to snack on Spring Mix and Cucumbers and enjoys the occasional warm bath. When his mom works from home, Loomi enjoys sitting on her lap and crawling around on the desk. Dr. Loomis has an affinity for the glow of a laptop screen, so he must be watched very carefully to ensure that he doesn’t send any accidental emails. Fun fact- Russian Tortoises can live 50+ years…so that technically makes him a family heirloom. Pet Owner: Victoria Wise (Human Resources)
