SQ Employee Newsletter - October 2024

Open Enrollment: November 5 – 15th

Save the date – 2025 Open Enrollment is November 5th – 15th, 2024!

This is your annual opportunity to enroll or make changes to your benefits. You should also use this time to add or drop dependents, update your beneficiary, and/or set contributions for your 2025 FSA account.

Informational postcards will be mailed out to all eligible employees with QR codes to access your 2025 Benefit Guides. When available, guides will also be posted on the SQ Employee Dashboard.

This year’s open enrollment is passive. If you would like to keep all benefits the same, your 2024 enrollment will roll over to 2025 with no action taken. The only exception is your flexible spending contributions. If you would like to contribute to your FSA for 2025, you will need to make a new election– it will not roll over! Please carefully review your options as elections you make (or rollover) will be binding from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025.

The SQ Benefit Service Center can be reached at (855) 892-0067 and will be staffed with benefits counselors to answer your questions and enroll you for 2025.  New this year, you will also be able to make your changes and new elections on the ADP app or online dashboard in the benefits section! Please make sure you have your login information so you can access this enrollment option.

Eligibility

Full-time employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after 60 days of employment if they are averaging 30+ hours per week.

Benefit Cards

Employees who make new elections during open enrollment should watch their mail for new benefit cards by January 1st. If no changes are made, do not throw your cards away! You will continue to use them for 2025.

FSA debit cards are good for 3 years.  You will automatically be mailed a new card before the expiration date.

Employee Spotlight: Cyndie Estes

Hello! My name is Cyndie Estes, and my position at Stratosphere Quality is front desk receptionist at the Corporate office in Fishers, Indiana.
I currently reside in Carmel, Indiana, with my husband John. After graduating high school, I continued my education at IU Indianapolis with a
bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree at Butler University, both degrees in elementary education. As an educator at Carmel Clay Schools, I taught fourth grade for twenty-four years and elementary Spanish for eight years.

During retirement, I traveled domestically and internationally. Alaska is on my bucket list to have traversed all fifty states. I dwelled in a motorhome full-time in southern California for two and a half years. I have four children, nine plus grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. In my leisure time, my hobbies include quilting, calligraphy, reading, writing, playing euchre, taking art lessons, and learning languages. My mantra is to be a life-long learner.

A little over a year ago, my son Seth, a UPS delivery driver, introduced me to SQ. He said that SQ is a great place and that I
would enjoy working at the front desk. Teamwork and strong leadership are important in a business environment. First, developing mutual respect is crucial in a cooperating atmosphere. Secondly, a positive attitude provides a productive situation.

Next, supporting leadership in a work setting develops healthy working relationships. Lastly, communication is necessary to continue effective workflow. Teamwork is vital to promote collaboration. The work environment at SQ is an optimistic experience where
co-workers are upbeat. My position requires me to be flexible in a collaborative business setting which my colleague is encouraging and
positive. Working at SQ is just plain fun!

My advice for new employees is to have a positive attitude and be a team player. Being an educator at heart, I desire for the educational experience to be worldwide. To step up from poverty, knowledge is fundamental and provides opportunities for mankind as a whole to solve problems for a better quality of life.
