SQ Employee Newsletter - July 2025
Summer Holiday Greetings
Wishing a very warm and happy July 4th to our U.S. employees, and a joyful Canada Day to our Canadian team members! We hope you all enjoyed memorable celebrations with your loved ones!
Stay Safe in the Heat: Simple Tips for Hot Weather
- Hydrate Regularly
Drink water throughout your shift—even if you’re not thirsty. Avoid energy drinks and soda, which can dehydrate you. If you’re active or working outdoors, aim for a glass every 15–20 minutes. - Dress Smart – Stay Cool Within Policy
Choose breathable, light-colored clothing that follows our dress code:- Plain T-shirts with sleeves (4”+), fitted ankle-length pants in good condition
- No sleeveless shirts, athletic wear, or graphic tees
- Required PPE must be worn at all times (safety glasses, safety-toe footwear)
- Use a Stratosphere logo hat outdoors for sun protection
- Secure long hair and beards
- Apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) before your shift if working outdoors.
- Know the Signs of Heat Illness
Watch for dizziness, heavy sweating, nausea, or headaches—these may signal heat exhaustion or stroke. Move to a cool area, hydrate, and seek help if symptoms don’t improve.
Let’s Keep Our Cool
With a few simple precautions, we can all stay safe and comfortable in the summer heat. Take care of yourself—and look out for your teammates too!
Employee Spotlight: Tasha Bayne
Passionate Leader, Community Advocate, and Dedicated Team Member
Behind every strong team is a strong leader, and for Tasha Bayne, leadership is not just a role but a reflection of her values, dedication, and heart.
A proud mother, Tasha finds her greatest inspiration in her daughter, now in her second year of college. “She’s the reason I work so hard and stay so passionate about what I do,” she shares. “I believe I’ve passed those values on to her.” Their home is shared with two lovable labs who enjoy being spoiled with plenty of attention and endless games of fetch.
Outside of work, Tasha thrives in nature, whether it’s relaxing by the lake, visiting the beach, or participating in 5K charity events. “Notice I didn’t say running,” she jokes. “My knees can’t take that anymore, the only time I run now is if someone’s chasing me!” Her sense of humor is infectious, and her energy draws others in; she’s even convinced her sisters and a close friend to join her in these charity walks. “It’s my way to give back to my community and help those who may not be as fortunate.”
In her downtime, she finds peace in cooking and working in her garden and yard. Whether at home or at work, she’s always creating, nurturing, and growing.
Creating a Culture of Appreciation
When it comes to the workplace, Tasha’s philosophy is simple: build an environment people are excited to be part of. “I believe in a positive and fun work culture—somewhere you don’t dread going each morning. We’re there for each other no matter what.”
She leads with transparency, both with her team and customers, believing honesty is the foundation of trust. “I make a point to tell my team every day how much I appreciate them. They are pretty AMAZING!”
A Journey of Growth and Resilience
Tasha’s career in quality inspection began unexpectedly in 2004 with Product Action. With no prior experience in the field—having previously worked as an administrative assistant—she started as an inspector and never looked back.

We Love Our Pets!

Pets of the Month
We would love to see your pet, send in a picture and description to sqnewsletter@stratospherequality.com
Beau
Meet Beau! This handsome rescue is a 7-year-old retriever/shepherd mix originally from Cincinnati, OH. He loves long walks, peanut butter, watching Purdue basketball, swimming, and will chase a ball for hours.
When he’s not enjoying the backyard, Beau is glued to my side while I work and loves to cuddle, usually taking up the whole bed! Despite the extra vacuuming, we love Beau’s contagious energy and are so thankful we found him.
Pet parent: Katie Mannell, Support Center

“Team was responsive and listened to our concerns.”
