Project Quality Improvement Recognition Program
Stratosphere Quality’s core existence is to help its customers improve their product quality. As a result, we are pleased to announce the Project Quality Improvement Program.
What is the Program?
This award program has been developed to recognize SQ employees who have exhibited quality improvement characteristics to improve customer products/projects.
Examples of a Project Quality Improvement:
- An inspector performing inspection on a project where Touch Point method may be beneficial and was not currently being used; the process was implemented, work instruction was revised, etc.
- Inspector determined that the lighting for a project was not sufficient, improved lighting was added to the project, and work instructions were revised, etc.
- Employee suggested implementation of a SQ Best Practice that was not currently being used on a project.

Performs varied inspection tasks including sorting, visual inspection, touch point inspection, or use of measuring equipment to determine the conformity of a part. This individual may also rework parts to eliminate known defects this includes work such as deburring or replacing a component part.
In charge of routine oversight of a project and the coordination of project work by all other team members. This individual serves as job team leader when the supervisor is not on-site.
Responsible for ensuring teams are operating according to Stratosphere Quality standards and client requirements including safety. This individual works directly with suppliers and manufacturers. Develops detailed written work instructions for each project. Trains Team Leads and Inspectors on proper Stratosphere Quality and client procedures relevant to the project.
Accountable for the quality of all projects, and for the productivity of our teams throughout
assigned region. Plans the proper setup of new quality assurance projects, including physical
layout, material handling, and staffing. This individual manages and cultivates relationships with clients.
Responsible for new business development within assigned region. Executes sales strategy, initiates contact with existing and potential customers, identifies needs and opportunities in a defined geographic territory. This individual leads negotiations and coordinates complex decision-making processes with clients.
Administrative Support positions primarily work from one of our two Corporate Support
Center locations in Fishers, Indiana. Administrative Support includes, Customer Service, Accounting, Human Resources and various other administrative roles needed to support our field operations.
Contract Quality Engineer
Responsible for quality assurance activities on a production line, implementation of good manufacturing practices, methods and tools, with an emphasis on research, process controls, and processing for compliance with regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Contract Quality Technician
Performs a full range of varied inspection or production related tasks, as well as administrative duties. Uses inspection, measuring and test equipment, performs basic and special quality duties including conducting calibration, gathers data and reports inspection results, may write or operate CMM programs and conduct product qualifications.
Contract QMS Auditor
Performs Quality Management System audits towards applicable ISO standards. Works with clients to define the scope of the audit, schedules audit events, conducts audits (process, supplier, product), discusses opportunities for improvement or best practice deployment, creates audit reports and follows up on corrective actions.
