Employee Spotlight: Sharon Macmillan

This month, we are proud to recognize Sharon Macmillan- a Quality Support Coordinator in Toronto West!

Sharon is a proud mother of three children, a grandmother to four, and a great-grandmother to one beautiful great-granddaughter.

Before joining Stratosphere Quality, Sharon worked at a Tool and Die Cast Plant. She started as a Machine Operator and was later promoted to Quality Assurance, where she was responsible for setups and daily production line audits. Unfortunately, after 12 years of dedicated service, her position was eliminated due to a company restructuring. During that time, Sharon stayed busy and worked for a few containment companies to stay within the Quality and Automotive industry.

It was during this time that Sharon heard that Stratosphere Quality was hiring. She quickly applied and joined the company in December 2010.

She enjoys working in a team-oriented environment where collaboration and support are key. Sharon strives to foster a team that feels more like a family- where everyone supports each other and works toward common goals.

When asked what keeps Sharon at SQ here and motivates her to grow within the company, Sharon stated that “The team-oriented environment and the company’s commitment to continuous improvement in both training and technology have kept me engaged.” She has also had opportunities to support launches across Canada and the United States which have contributed greatly to her growth and overall satisfaction with Stratosphere Quality. During Sharon’s time with the company, she has been able to learn from others, share her experiences, and form lasting friendships.

Sharon’s advice to any new QI joining SQ is as follows, “Don’t assume that where you start is where you’ll stay. There are many opportunities for growth within the organization.” Sharon began as a supervisor, moved on to Site Operations, then Operations Manager, and she now serves as a Quality Support Coordinator.

Introducing Ginny and Panchito! Ginny is a spirited diva who thrives on adventure, whether causing mischief at home or sitting like a seasoned traveler in the car. She adores human food, so guard your dinner, and is captivated by travel vlogs, glued to the screen like a teenager.

Meanwhile, Panchito is a charming yet reserved sweetheart who craves affection—mostly from his dad. Though shy, he shows appreciation through affectionate gestures, like gentle head bumps after meals. These two unique personalities make for an adorable pair.
