Employee Spotlight: Giovanni Escarfullery

Introducing Giovanni Escarfullery, an analyst with our Customer Service team. Giovanni was born in La Isla del Encanto, Puerto Rico. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez in 2020 and received his bachelor’s degree in finance. When Giovanni is not working, he finds fulfillment and brings balance and inspiration by playing basketball, perfecting his culinary skills, listening to music, or watching movies.

Having moved from Puerto Rico to the United States in search of better job opportunities, Giovanni worked as a Front Desk Agent strengthening his customer service knowledge and computer skills. Giovanni learned about the opportunity with SQ through his colleague, Nareicy O’Keefe. He enjoys working in a communication-driven environment and appreciates it when leadership encourages the team to ask questions and promotes effective communication.

The mentorship, work ethic, and robust sense of community his colleagues and leadership in Customer Service have fostered, inspires and motivates Giovanni to learn and grow within the company. Advice he would give to someone new joining SQ would be to stay open to learning and welcome constructive feedback.

If Giovanni had a magic wand, one world problem he would fix would be eliminating pollution, to improve the state of our planet. It would help promote a healthy sustainable environment and ensure a better quality of life for current and future generations.
