Employee Spotlight: Nikhil Patel

About Nikhil

Nikhil lives in Kitchener, Ontario, with his wife and their 20-month-old daughter, who keeps them smiling and busy every day. Outside of work, Nikhil enjoys reading books, watching games, and playing volleyball, a hobby that helps him stay active and refreshed. He believes in staying positive, learning continuously, and appreciating life’s small moments.

Creating a Positive Work Environment

When asked about the type of work environment he values, Nikhil shared:

“I enjoy a collaborative and respectful space where people feel comfortable sharing ideas and supporting one another. I try to foster open communication, clear expectations, and a positive mindset. Recognizing effort and encouraging teamwork helps create an environment where everyone feels motivated and valued.”

Career Journey Before SQ

Before joining SQ, Nikhil worked at Lowe’s, supporting daily store operations and customer service. That experience strengthened his communication skills, teamwork, and customer-focused approach, skills he continues to apply in his role today.

Discovering SQ

Nikhil first learned about SQ through a friend in the automotive industry who spoke highly of the company’s growth opportunities and strong work culture.

What Keeps Him Motivated at SQ

Over the past six years, Nikhil has explored nearly every part of the manufacturing world. In the automotive space alone, he’s worked across multiple tiers on components ranging from core vehicle systems to sunroof assemblies.

“The opportunity to continuously learn and grow is what keeps me here. Working with a wide variety of people and learning from different teams, customers, and environments helps me stay updated with the latest trends and best practices. That constant exposure and growth mindset motivate me to keep building my career with SQ.”

Advice for New QIs

Nikhil’s advice for anyone joining SQ is inspiring:

“Remember that you are an integral part of Stratosphere’s success. Stay curious and keep learning from every task, challenge, and interaction. If you stay positive, ask questions, and take ownership of your work, the opportunities in our industry are endless.”
